[Based on MD, p. 8:65-66.] There are no birth records for the children. The order is largely based on the settlement of the estate of the father which names eldest son Isaac, Ebenezer and Edmond; followed by nine daughters Ruth Doane, Sarah Higgins, Mary Hinckley, Experience Grose, Mercy Cobb, Thankfull Snow, Elizabeth Pepper, Hannah Remick and Rachel Freeman. Ruth was a daughter by, and only child of, Edmond's first wife, Ruth Myrick, which is proved by Ruth Freeman's mention in her grandfather's will. The rest are children of second wife, Sarah Mayo, whose will dated 26 Mar 1736/37 mentions sons Ebenezer and Edmund; children of Isaac [i.e., deceased]; and six daughters remaining: Sarah Higgins, Mary Hinckly, Thankfull Snow, Mercy Cob, Hannah Remick and Rachel Gray. (Ruth was not her daughter, Experience is known to have died, as apparently had Elizabeth.)
