Question re your gedcom upload [18 September 2010]

Hello and welcome to WeRelate. Thank you for promptly reviewing your gedcom. I do have a question about what you have done. You seem to have excluded most of the families in your file, but not the people involved. In WeRelate it is the family page which creates the relationships - marries spouses and link child to parent. A list of unconnected people will not be of use to anyone in a shared database. Please review again. If any of the people are living, they must be excluded by checking the box on the person page. Hello, I have looked at your latest file and it is much better. I see that you have done some editing to fix the problems. Thank you for handling this so promptly. This is just a reminder that you must go to the import tab and click the Ready to Import button before your file will be imported. I have excluded some unnecessary family pages for you. The pages from your GEDCOM have been generated successfully. You may now:

• launch the Family Tree Explorer to navigate your tree
• view your network -- If you matched families in your GEDCOM to existing families, find out to which other WeRelate users you are related.
• view related pages not in your tree -- If you matched families in your GEDCOM to existing families, find out which people you are now related to that you can add to your tree (takes awhile to display for large trees).
• view a searchable list of the pages in your tree -- The searchable list will be available about an hour after your tree has been imported.
