Hello and welcome to WeRelate. I am a volunteer and have processed your gedcom files. You should be able to see the pages now. There is one file left for your review BENTON-1800.

Thank you for your contributions. I do want you to know that since you uploaded several files at once, the system was not able to detect duplicates for you. Beginning tomorrow you will be able to check for duplicates by going to the MyRelate menu and selecting 'Show Duplicates". The process to build the list runs at night so you won't see any until tomorrow. If you do see some duplicates you can simply click on the name to bring up a comparison screen. You will mark each as a match or not the same people.

Hello again. Are you having problems getting another gedcom uploaded. These files have a ".ged" ending and are usually exported from your desktop genealogy program. Go to the page that has been changed. Click on History.

That will tell you what was changed when and by whom.

lorenzo_kibler_s_Family_Tree_ged.mht appears to overlap a previously-imported GEDCOM [29 January 2010]

The pages from this GEDCOM have not yet been generated because they appear to match pages from a GEDCOM you have previously imported to WeRelate.

If you have already imported a GEDCOM containing people in this GEDCOM and you want to replace that tree with this GEDCOM, you need to delete that tree first so duplicates aren't created when you import this GEDCOM. Click on Trees in the "My Relate" menu, then click on the "delete" link next to that tree. Please be aware that any pages in the tree that are being watched by others won't get deleted. Once that tree is deleted you can create a new tree and re-upload this GEDCOM into it. (We're planning to make re-uploading GEDCOM files much simpler soon.)

If you don't think you have already imported a GEDCOM containing people in this GEDCOM, or if the two GEDCOM's don't overlap that much, leave a message for Dallan or send an email to dallan@WeRelate.org and we'll go ahead with the import.

Deleting your pages [30 January 2010]

Hello Mikekib, sorry to hear that you are frustrated with WeRelate's emails. One option is to stop receiving the emails (I don't get them myself). Instead you could view your Watchlist, which you can find at My Relate, Watchlist.

However, you said that you would like to delete your pages. To do that, go to My Relate at the top of this page, and choose Trees. From there, you will see a list of trees that you have on WeRelate. Click on delete to remove them. --Jennifer (JBS66) 12:50, 30 January 2010 (EST)
