[29 February 2016]Hi JW2014, Good to see you uploading information. One question, though. Is it possible that Family:Joannes Wehowsky and Magdalena Unknown (3) and Family:Joannes Wehowsky and Magdalena Unknown (1) are the same? As you may know, there should not be any duplicate pages on WeRelate for the same person or the same family. As a volunteer administrator, one of the things I do is look at pages the computer thinks might be duplicates. If they really are duplicates, I merge them into one page. If they are not duplicates, I can add a template to one of them that says "Do not merge" with the other page. These pages look like they should be merged, but I know how common it is to have different families with the same names in a small ares. Could you look at these pages, please, and say whether or not you think they are duplicate entries? You can answer either on this page, or on the Talk page for Family:Joannes Wehowsky and Magdalena Unknown (3). I am doing some research on my ancestors and found your impressive Wehowsky-familytree some time ago, including the couple I was looking for! (Joseph Valentin MAIS and Josepha WEHOWSKY in Katscher) I would like to ask you where you have all that information from? I found the parish register of Katscher online, but not the marriage entry on 01. Februar 1830 - was he protestant? And where do you have the information of Kösling and Steuberwitz from? It has been a while since I worked on the tree. I have not documented every single entry due to limited time, but all records should be traceable to church books in Katscher, most on them online via Opava archive. In my research I also searched other online sources, including Google Books. There is enough to write a book, but I am extremely busy now, hopeing to get back to the project in a few months. I would also like to find people interested in comparing genomes to validate the connections. My grandfather was born in 1929 in the same tiny town (koberice) as Mariana. I am thinking that she could have been his great great great aunt or something. All my life my grandpa has been telling me about his happy childhood in Koberice and how he lived there with his big family. I would love to get some more information about his pedigree so I can try to create my own family tree. How should I go about getting genealogic data like names and birthplaces? Is there some kind of database or online library? Id be greatful for any help and really hope you get my message! Best wishes Nina Hi Nina, You are very lucky, most church books from Koberice are available online via Zemsky Archiv v Opave: http://digi.archives.cz/da/searchlink?fcDb=10041 You can search Koberice. There is also pozemkova kniha (land registry) and you can really go back to early 1700s. Подскажите пожалуйста. В Вашем древе я увидела данные о своем прапрадедушке Филончук Балтромее который родился в Клепачах Белосток. Моя прабабушка Филончук Мария Балтромеевна родилась в 1893 году тамтже. Я написала запрос в архив недавно. Умерла она в Украине. Ее мама Соколовская(Филончук) Юзефа(Иосифа)жена Балтромея. Знаю что родственники остались в Белосток. Приходили письма. Что вам известно еще про Филончук Балтромея? Есть ли еще дети. I have a list of several pages you were the last to edit that fall into this category. There is also a list of pages with no dates. If you have death dates for these people, please enter them. (Note that death place or indicator is not sufficient.) Otherwise, their pages will be deleted in about a month. If you need more time, please let me know. I think that she is most probably mother of my ancestor Josef, born 1804 or 1805 in Scotschau, son of Marianna Wechowsky daughter of Antoni Wechowsky.
