John Edmiston and Mary Buchanan [31 July 2009]

Hi GenDigger

You have a card on Werelate for Person:John Edmiston and Mary Buchanan (2)

Person:John Edmiston (6) is the same person as another card Person:John Edmiston (2) created by User:Dlbradley1.

I'm working on the Southwest Virginia Project. As part of that effort I would like to combine the information from the two cards into a single card, eliminating the duplication.

Before I do that I'd like to get your input into this process. Absent input I'll go ahead with the changes in a few days. Any changes I make can always be reverted if you wish.

That is fine. I have not been actively researching since last fall. I have tried to document all my infor but if something is in-correct feel free to change and add the reference.

Edmondson WCVA and Fleming of TX-OK [6 May 2010]

Hello there, My name is Diana Powell. I am a researcher whose focus is on the early families of Washington Co., Virginia where several of my own ancestors (Ryburn, Beattie, Davis, Moffett) lived for several generations. As part of my work I trace the descendants of many other early Washington Co. families which led me to post some information on my website about the family of Samuel Porter Edmondson and Elizabeth K. Alderson. That page is at Rambling Roots in case you are interested.

A descendant of Samuel's daughter Rose/Rosa recently contacted me. She mentioned that she had found your information on WeRelate but had not attempted to contact you. I told her I would do so. We'd love to know if you are also a descendant of Samuel or perhaps of one of his siblings. Regardless of where you fit on the tree we obviously share an interest in the Edmondson and Buchanan families and would love to correspond.
