I noticed your queries under "Support" and took an extra interest when you introduced Pottersburg in Middlesex County, Ontario. This led to examining the list of people you are contributing. The aim of WeRelate is to back up family trees with facts and sources of those facts, not just to add as many people as we can. So I was surprised to see that you did not list any places where the Labatt family lived and that your only source was a family history on a website.
As a Canadian ('though I have lived in the UK for more than 50 years), I am probably more familiar with the name of Labatt than contributors from south of the border. It would be very helpful to add more information about each of the family groups: census information and burial places could be found online, possibly for free. Land purchases would be registered at Ontario Archives. Some of the brewery owners are bound to have biographies in the Dictionary of Canadian Biography. You have information from the online biography on the travels of John Kinder Labatt. These deserve to be added to his WeRelate page.
You may be planning to add this type of information in the near future. I sincerely hope so. Once it can be found in WR, you will have added a lot of interesting pages.
One of my great-great grandfathers, Person:Robert Arnold (20), was a failed Ontario brewer. Around 1860 he bought a brewery in Aurora. For the next ten years or so, until his death, he and some of his sons tried to make a decent brew without success. Poor man didn't understand that a brewery should never be located downstream of a tannery. Generations in between ggf and myself told me that the lack of success was due to the sons drinking all the beer, but the fact of the tannery came from a history of Aurora that I read online. There is the story of an unsuccessful brewing family. See what you can do to provide us with the story of a very successful one.

Doris Witter d 18 Mar 2017 [27 October 2021]

I see that you added Stoney Creek ON as the place of death for Doris Geraldine Witter. Doris actually passed away in Hamilton ON at Idlewyld Manor on Sanitarium Road. She had no connection with Stoney Creek ON(other than the fact that she was cremated at Canadian Cremation Services which is located in Stoney Creek). Her obit published in the Hamilton Spectator in 2017 shows that she died in Hamilton ON.

Toronto [9 September 2023]
In looking at your very current alterations to Ontario, Canada, I looked down the list of Ontario places and noted that Toronto is missing. Metropolitan Toronto as it now exists was formed in 1971. It is not a part of York Region. Some mention of the capital city of Ontario ought to be part of the description of Ontario.
Newbies may be wondering what happened to Toronto. As a native now living in the UK, I am sure it's still in Ontario.

- There is still a place page for Toronto, in the county of York, which it appears was accurate in 1900. There isn't a place page for Metropolitan Toronto, which was formed in 1953, or for the City of Toronto which replaced it in 1998 (according to Wikipedia).
