    QUAY 3 The Late John P. Corrigan:
    On Wednesday, October 20, the Angel of Death called to its eternal reward the soul of a well known and highly respected resident of Mara township, in the person of Mr. John Corrigan, after a lingering illness of nearly three years borne with great patience and fortitude. Mr. Corrigan was born in Mara nearly sixty-nine years ago. He married Miss Bridget Clarke, of Uptergrove and settled in on a farm near the old homestead, where they have resided since. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Rev. Father J. F. Corrigan. of Holy Family Parish, Toronto; Patrick and Mary at home, and one boy who died in infancy. He was a very charitable man of cheerful, contented, disposition, loved: and respected by all who knew him. He had the consolation of being surrounded by his loving wife and family in his last moments. The funeral took place on Friday to St. Columbkill's Church, and was one of the largest ever held in the district, the church being filled with relatives and friends whose esteem had been testified by the many spiritual offerings. Solemn Requiem High Mass was celebrated by his son, Rev. Father Corrigan; Rev. Father Armstrong, of Orillia, as Deacon, Rev. Father McGrath, of Toronto, as Sub-Deacon, Rev. Father Flannigan of Uptergrove, was Master of Ceremonies;
    Rev. Father W. Kelly, of Toronto, was assisted in the choir, and Rev. Father
    Hayes, of Toronto, delivered a very appropriate sermon. Rev. Father's Morrow arid Carberry were in the Sanctuary. The remains were interred in St. Columbkill's cemetery.
    He is also survived by four brothers and one sister: William, of Oregon, Joseph, of Texas; : James and Peter, of Mara, and Mrs. J. Desrnotid, of Brechin. The pallbearers were Messrs: J. Desmond, P. Clarke, F. Clarke, L. Roche, M. Doolan and D. Calderwood. Heartfelt sympathy is extended to the bereaved family in the loss of a devoted and loving husband, and one of the best fathers who was loved in life and honored in
