Now that you have uploaded 9-13.ged, your next step is to review what your pages will look like, review any potential warnings, and combine (merge) people in your GEDCOM with matching people already on WeRelate. You need to review your GEDCOM before it can finish importing.

Duplicates in your gedcom [13 September 2009]

Hello, I am processing your gedcom upload. I notice that there are some duplicated families. Please check tomorrow or thereafter for your duplicate list at the WeRelate menu, Show Duplicates. 9-13.ged Imported Successfully [13 September 2009]

The pages from your GEDCOM have been generated successfully. You may now:

• launch the Family Tree Explorer to navigate your tree
• view your network -- If you matched families in your GEDCOM to existing families, find out to which other WeRelate users you are related.
• view related pages not in your tree -- If you matched families in your GEDCOM to existing families, find out which people you are now related to that you can add to your tree (takes awhile to display for large trees).
• view a searchable list of the pages in your tree -- The searchable list will be available about an hour after your tree has been imported.

Wife of Edward Small?? [14 September 2009]

Hello, I noticed that you've added an "alternative wife", Elizabeth Chaperwone for Edward Small/Smale:

There has been some speculation that Edward's wife may have been a daughter of Sir Francis Champernoune (note spelling), but note this narration from "Descendants of Edward Small and Allied Families", by Underhill, Revised Edition 1943, by Jim Small ( http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~smalljd/lines/edward-smale.htm ):

"[In short, research of English records show no relationship between Edward Smale and Sir Francis Champernoune, (mentioned numerous times by current researchers as "kinsman") and Edward or Francis Smale and Nicholas Shapleigh. Prior to any of them reaching the shores of New England. That they were "kinsman" and the New England Small family was somehow connected to either the Champernoune or Shapleigh family of England through marriage has no basis in truth. That this connection has been researched in English parish records over the past three centuries has still not revealed any connection between these families."]

Do you have some other research to indicate Edward's wife was a Champernoune/Champernown? In other publications, Elizabeth has been listed as Elizabeth Shurt, daughter of John Shurt and Mary Lugge.
