Discussion
Hugh's will is apparently dated 29 July 1797. He is described as "of Clark County TN" in the will record, indicating that's where he was living at the time of his death. Yet the will is proven in Baltimore MD courts in 1799 and 1800, and in Caswell County, NC courts in 1800. He apparently owned land in Caswell County, and a sloop docked in Baltimore harbor, which explains the records in those counties.
Since one of the courts i which the will was proven is identified as "Orphans Court", we can assume that there was at least one underage child in the family. If so, then it would seem to be a "late in life" child, and possibly Ann is his second wife.
