2d w. Joan Tilson, but had s. Giles and John, perhaps Sarah (wh. m.
1657, as is said, George Paddock), all by former, and m. 3d w. 25 June
1669, Hannah, wid. of John Churchill, d. of William Pontus; d. 1684,
aged 87; and his wid. d. 12 Dec. 1690. GILES, Plymouth, s. of the
preced.
m. 31 Oct. 1651, Hannah Dunham, perhaps d. of the first John,
had John, b. the next yr. day and mo. lost from the rec.; Samuel 14
Jan. 1663. JOHN, Plymouth, s. of Giles the first, m. 31 Oct. 1651,
Esther Barnes, had John, b. 24 Nov. 1657; Mary, 27 Oct. 1677;
Lydia, 12 Dec. 1679; John, 29 Dec. 1681; and Mercy, wh. d. 12 Feb.
1683. MATURIN, Dover, br. of George, had Joseph, and was k. on the
same day with his br. THOMAS, Scituate. His will of 14 Nov. 1648,
names no w. or ch. THOMAS, Salem 1670, had w. and d. Sarah.

    RICKETSON, WILLIAM, Dartmouth, s. of Elizabeth wh. may have been a
wid. resi. there, by w. Elizabeth had Rebecca, b. 14 May 1681; John, 11
Feb. 1683; Elizabeth 1 Sept. 1684.; William, 26 Feb. 1686; Jonathan, 7
Apr. 1688, and Timothy, 22 Jan. 1690; and d. 1 Mar. 1691.

    RICKMAN, ISAAC, Salem, came in the fleet with Higginson 1629; and
perhaps went back soon, at least no more is heard of him.

    RIDDAN or RIDDAINE, THADDEUS, Lynn, merch. freem. 1672, by
w. Elizabeth had Hannah, and Sarah, tw. b. 12 Aug. of wh. Hannah, d. 13 Nov.
1660; Hannah, again, b. 11 Nov. 1662; John, 3 Feb. 1665; and Abigail, 4 June
1671. By his correspond. Farmer was inform. that this name was Kidder.

    RIDER, BENJAMIN, Yarmouth, m. 13 June 1670, Mary, d. of John
Gray, was a soldier of Gorham's comp. in Philip's war, but liv. in 1698.
He had sec. w. in 1680, but the sheet of town rec. that nam. his fam. is
lost. JAMES, Cambridge, by w. Hannah, had Hannah; b. 1 Mar. 1651;
James, 3 Jan. 1654; and Thomas, 1 Mar. 1657. Perhaps he rem. JOHN,
Falmouth 1665-76, was perhaps s. of Phineas of
the same. See Hutch. Coll. 398, and Willis, I. 141. JOHN, Yarmouth,
s. of Samuel, d. 5 Jan. 1706, but his w. had d. 23 Oct. 1691. Full rec.
of his fam. is lost, but he had s. Samuel, wh. d. 14 Aug. 1702, and from
his will we find other ch. Ebenezer, John, b. 1664, Joseph, Hannah, Lydia,
and Thankful. JOSEPH, Yarmouth, br. of the preced. of wh. the imperf. rec.
shows ch. Joseph, b. 22 Dec. 1676; Hannah; Elizabeth; Mary; Sarah; Rebecca;
and Esther; was a man of esteem, left large est. and his branch of the fam.
was exstinct in his gr.s. PHINEAS, Falmouth 1658, had been of Gloucester
1649 to 58, was a man of import. rep. 1670. See Babson and Willis, I. His
name is, in Hutch. Coll. 398, call. Hidar. SAMUEL, Yarmouth 1638, had earlier
w. Mary, b. 6 Sept. 1647; and Elizabeth wh. m. 2 Nov. 1667, John Cole; beside
Benjamin, John, and Samuel, some of wh. may have been b. in Eng. and
Zechary, first male b. of white parents in the town; and Joseph; all nam. with
w. Ann in his will. He was a lieut. but disfranch. 1655, for favor. Quakers;
d. 22 Dec. 1679, aged 78; and his wid. d. at Plymouth 1695; and by this
had Samuel, 18 Nov. 1657.

preced. perhaps b. in Eng. m. 23 Dec. 1656, Sarah or Mary, d. of Robert
Bartlett, had Samuel, b. 18 Nov. foll. and prob. others.

of Joseph of Scituate. He is said to have had fourteen ch.

William Lane, was perhaps a caulker, of Boston 1650, had Hannah, b. 7
Mar. 1655. THOMAS, Watertown, freem. 1690, m. Sarah Lawrence, d.
of George the first, had Sarah, b. Dec. 1694, d. next mo. Prob. he
rem. to Framingham, in Bond's judgm. and was likely to be at Dorchester
1709. In the will of her f. this Sarah is ment. 1707; and she
d. at Roxbury 14 Aug. 1714, says, perhaps erron. Geneal. Reg. XIV.
