Using the template [8 July 2013]

If one were to use the template {{FS England Births}}, where should it be placed? In the Source box, in the description box, or where?

Occasionally I come across mentions of various templates which might be used in sources, and wonder if they are kept somewhere as a group, and, if they are, is there a sufficient description of each that might help us adopt them when we need them?

I usually add it to the "Volume / Pages" field so all the text flows in a single paragraph. You could also put it in the larger transcription field. If you want to see an example, click on the link to the template, click on "What links here", click on one of the pages in the list, and then you can browse through the references on that page to see how it was used. -Moverton 15:45, 8 July 2013 (EDT)
