There were two John Snoddy's in Southwest Virginia from about 1770 to around the time of the Revolution.
Person:John Snoddy (1) lived in Castle's Woods Virginia, and married Margaret, a daughter of person:John Walker (81) and Ann Houston of the Wigton Walker lineage. Snoddy moved to, KY, about 1775. He may have returned briefly to Castle's Woods, but settled permanently in Madison County after the Revolution.
Person:John Snoddy (4) was a Washington County Justice, living near Abingdon. Some have him dying there in 1784, while others state that he he moved to Jefferson County TN, dying there about 1786.
