[edit] Village of SharonSharon is an unincorporated post village in the northeastern part of the township of Sharon, county of Noble, state of Ohio, United States of America. It is situated about 3 miles west of Caldwell. [edit] HistorySharon was surveyed and platted in Morgan County on 22 March 1831, under the proprietorship of Robert Rutherford and Edward Parrish. The original plat consisted of fourteen lots. The Sharon Post Office was established on 4 Feb. 1831, with Rev. Robert Rutherford as postmaster. A Presbyterian church was erected here in 1823. Sharon was situated in the northwestern part of Olive Township in Morgan County until 1851 when Noble County and the township of Sharon were erected. [edit] Research Tips
