William Criss Vorhis is the son of Sylvester Vorhis and Mary Malise Criss. He married Mary L. Archer. Her father was Wiliam D. Bollman. He was a Sooner. He came to Oklahoma a few days before the Oklahoma Land run. That was what I was told. I would like to learn more about him if anyone knows anything.

Who is the daughter of William Douglas Bollman and Mary Lucinda Archer.

He is listed as one of the children of David D. Vorhis b. 2 Oct 1796 who m. Mary M. Jones 9 May 1833 in Fountain Co., Indiana. David died 11 June 1857 Davis Co., Iowa. Wife Mary b. 30 Dec. 1806 Hamilton Co., Ohio, d. 20 Dec 1894 Davis Co., Iowa. A total of seven children are listed. David's ancestors: Jacobus, Cornelius, Albert, Lucas, Steven Van Voorhees.
