• Page 562.—28th February, 1749. Same (From William Beverley) to William Patterson, 347 acres (shown as 247 on Hildebrand Map and in sale in 1761, below) in Beverley Manor on South River. Corner John Campbell in Manor line; Joseph Tees' line; McClure's land; Archibald Stuart's line. Delivered: Isabella Gibson August, 1761. Teste: John Cabell, James Hamilton.

• Page 605.--19th May, 1762. William Lamma (Lamb) and Anna to William Patterson, £250, 330 acres on South River Shanandoe. Teste: James Lamme, Thomas Raferty. Delivered: Wm. Patterson, February, 1768.

William ( ) Patterson (Petterson) and Agness ( ) to James Bell, £120, 247 acres in Beverley Manor on South River of Shanandoe, conveyed to William by Beverley, 26th February, 1749; cor. John Campbell in the Manor line, Joseph Teas' line; cor. said Teas and McClure; cor. Archibald Stuart. Delivered: Jas. Bell, 1768.

• Page 618.--4th May, 1764. William ( ) Patterson to Thomas Rafferty, £12, 18 acres on South River Shanando, part of 330 acres patented to _____ (George Anderson), 30th January, 1741. Delivered: Thomas Rafferty, January, 1765. (Note: George Anderson's name is not listed in the original transcription, but was found on previous and subsequent records of Anderson's 330-acre tract in Chalkley's, one listed below).

• 1773: William Patterson sold the upper (southern most) 111 acres of his land to his son James Patterson. Both of these tracts [includes the 18 acre tract listed above] were west of South River. [Descendants of William Patterson who settled on South River in Augusta County, Virginia about 1740, by John L. Patterson, pg. 3].

• Page 286.--21st March, 1786. William Pattcrson, Sr., to his son William Patterson, Jr., tract patented to George Anderson, 20th January, 1741. (Note: since 18 acres of this tract were sold to Thomas Rafferty in 1764, and 111 acres to son James Patterson in 1773, it is assumed that the remaining 201-acres were given to William Patterson's son, William Patterson, Jr.)
