William Overton, son of Thomas Overton, [parish] clerk, by Elizabeth[1] (Smith), was baptized on 27 January 1752 in the parish of Bardney, Lincolnshire, England.[1]

On 27 October, 3 and 10 November 1776, in the parish of Bardney, Lincolnshire, England, banns of marriage were published for William Overton and Rebecca Broof, both of the parish, and they were married in the parish by the vicar, Geo. Blennerhaysett, on 14 November 1776. The marriage was witnessed by Bartholomew Scholey and James Johnson.

William Overton of Bardney was buried on 20 March 1816 in the parish of Bardney.[2]
