Marriage and Family

(see the Family page for references)

On 26 August 1776, Richard Overton of the parish of Stainton [by Langworth?] and Mary Brown of the parish of St Mary-le-Wigford were married by licence by the curate, William Durance, in the parish of St Mary-le-Wigford, in the city of Lincoln, England. The marriage was witnessed by Tomas Barker and Dorothy Gresela. It is not known without a doubt that this Richard is the same Richard who was baptized in the parish of Bardney, but it seems the most likely after a search of possible matches.
