"William Ogle, 70 Years of Age, Passes Away at Home in Ashmore
William Ogle, aged 70 years, a brother of George Ogle of this city, died Friday morning about 6 o'clock at his home in Ashmore. He had been in poor health for some time.
The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Ogle home at Ashmore. Burial was made in the Ashmore cemetery. Rev. J. L. Goleman, of Oakland, conducted the service. Mrs. Will Andrews and Mrs. Betty Coleman sang two songs.
Flowers were cared for by Lola Hawkins, Hazel Bough, Blanche Jones and Beatrice Richey. Serving as casket bearers were John Keigley, Frank Keigley, North Morris, Orris Kimball, Alva Jones and William Shyick.
Mr. Ogle, a retired employee of the New York Central railroad, was born in Ashmore on Aug. 24,1876, a son of Atkin and Emily Ogle. He had been a resident of Ashmore his entire life.
His wife, the former Miss Anna Moler, died in May of last year.
Several years ago he operated one of the tricks at the crossing on North Front street in Kansas.
He is survived by the following children:
Roy Ogle of Charleston,
Mrs. Frank Butler of Ashmore, and
Mrs. Phillip Rose of Elizabethtown;
two brothers, George Ogle of this city, and Charles Ogle, of Paris; and
a sister, Mrs. Hattie Blair, of Paris;
nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ogle was a member of the Presbyterian church of Ashmore."
