Appears on 1818 Lawrence Co, TN tax list, 1836 and 1838 Wayne Co, TN tax lists. Acquired land along the Green River in Wayne County. Wayne County, Tennessee 1817-1995 History & Families - Page 320-321: William Morrow was born about 1755, probably in North Carolina, and was the son of William Morrow and Mary "Polly" Dunlap, natives of Ireland. He married Lydia, whose maiden name may have been Watts, about 1790. Lydia was born 1766 and died between 1850 and 1860. In 1818 the family was living in Lawrence County, TN, but by the 1820 census had moved to a farm on Green River in Wayne County, TN. This farm was located at the mouth of Greeson Hollow. Here William and Lydia lived the rest of their lives. William died about 1845 and he and Lydia are buried in the Morrow Cemetery on a hill south of Greeson Hollow Branch. Their graves are marked by two very old cedar trees, the tombstones having crumbled. Tennessee Cousins By Worth S. Ray: Three brothers, William, Leonard and Zachariah Morrow came from the Tar River section of North Carolina with the Cyperts. William Morrow and his wife had children: John, James and Thomas Morrow. John Morrow married Elizabeth Cypert. James Morrow married Patsy Martin, daughter of William Martin of Bedford County. John Martin Morrow was the son of the James Morrow who married Patsy Martin. His son ? Morrow had a daughter Grace Morrow who married Marvin A. Bryan.
