Will Abstract

Will of William Millar of Dunmore County in Virginia.
Item I give to my beloved wife Catharin Millar one of my best beds and furniture and one of my best breeding Meres [Mares] and two of my best Cows & Calfs and one third part of all my Moveable Estate.
Item I give and bequeath to my Beloved son William Millar part of the plantation I now Live on joining Henry Cloud... Containing 210 acres more or Less.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved son Isaac Millar all that plantation or tract of land on the south branch in Hampshire County as Deeded to my by his Lordship joining Abrm. Kuykendall Containing 433 Acres with all the Rights belonging to the same.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved Daughter Rebeeka Millar all that tract of Land I bought of John Dunbar lyeing in Hampshire County on the Lost River joining Jacob Grefman? Containing 412 Acres and also one good bed and furniture and 3 Cows & Calfs.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved Daughter Elizabeth Millar the Remainter part of Lands joining the above bequeathed Land to my son William beginning at an ash tree on the River bank a Mark'd corner for my son William and my said Daughter Elizabeth.... to the Corner to the Land I Deeted [Deeded] to my son-in-Law Thomas Allen thence with Allen's Lines the severall Courses back to a Corner mark'd for Wm. Ashby and Peter Lehew with Lehew's Line to Henry Corner ... Containing 135 Acres more or Less and also I give 4 Cows and Calfs and one good Bed and furniture.
Item the above Lands I give to them and to each of their heirs and Assigns forever.
Item I give to be beloved Stepson Joseph Hopewell Ten pounds Virginia Money and Discharge him of what he is is now Charg'd in my book.
Item I give to my beloved step Daughter Sarah Millar wife of James Millar Twenty Pounds for her own use at her Desire within one year after my decease and her husband James shall have no Right to any Part thereof unless by his wife's axpress [express] order or Desire and if she should die before this will can be Executed my Executors may Despose of the same for the Benefit of her Children at their Discretion
Item I give to my son Wm. at my Decease All that he shall be in my Debt at my Decease if not Exsids? fifty pounds but if more he shall pay to my Executors
the rest of my Moveable Estate to be Equally Devided between my son Isaac Miller and my three Daughters to Wit: Abagail the wife of Thomas Allen and Rebecka and Elizabeth Millar and Each of my Children is to have their own Stock as is now their own and Enjoy.
Item I Constitute and Opinte [Appoint] my beloved son Isaac Miller & my beloved son-in-law Thomas Allen Executors of this my last will and Testament Revoking all and every other forner wills and Testaments or Legacies by me made Retifying and confirming this to be my Last Unless Revoked by me.
In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seal this first Day of October and In the year of our Lord anno Dom One thousand seven Hundred and Seventy Six... 1776

At a Court held for the County of Shanando County the 24th Day Sept. 1778.
The Last will and Testament of William Miller Deceased was presented in Court by Thomas Allen & Isaac Millar the Executors therein named who made Oath hereto According to Law and the same being proved by the Oaths of the Witnesses thereto the same is admitted to Record and on the motion of the said Executors who Entered into bond together with Tavr. Beale & William Calfee their Securities in the Penalty of Fifteen Thousand Pounds conditioned for their true and faithfull Administration of the said Estate Certificate is granted them for obtaining a probate thereof in due form of law.
