William Marshall was baptised on 20th January 1828 at Hatfield in Hertfordshire, son of Hannah Marshall, formerly Arnold, and her husband James Marshall, an agricultural labourer. Sadly young William died as a baby of just four months old, being buried at Hatfield on 24th April 1828.
