OBITUARY: John Vitus Dietlein & Eva M. Lang Descendants Compiled October 1990 By Damian L. Dietlein Page 8 William M. Knight Knight-William M. Knight, 70, Monitor township coal miner, and farmer, died this morning at 1:45 a.m. at General Hospital following a lingering illness. A resident of Bay county for 37 years, he was born in New York state, March 14, 1870 and was a member of the Beaver Lutheran church. He leaves the widow, Barbara; three sons, Alfred, of Essexville, Orville, of Beaverton, and Avery, of Auburn; five daughters, Mrs. Kenneth McLain and Miss Louise Knight, both at home, Mrs. Maude Brandt, of Midland road, Mrs. Helen Fischhaber of Monitor township, and Mrs. Dora Maple of Auburn; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Brown, of Afton, Mich., and Mrs. Sadie McNeal, of Briton, S.D.; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the home and 2:30 p.m. at the Beaver Lutheran church, with the Rev. Fred Rutkowsky officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
