OBITUARY: John Vitus Dietlein & Eva M. Lang Descendants Compiled October 1990 By Damian L. Dietlein Page 22 Attack Claims Alfred Knight Dies on Sunday at General Hospital Alfred G. Knight, 53, owner of Valley Chrome Platers firm on South Euclid Avenue, was dead on arrival at General Hospital early Sunday after suffering a sudden attack Saturday night at his home at 2139 Midland Road. Coroner Leslie Squires attributed death to a heart attack. A lifelong Bay resident, he was born in Bay County Sept. 7, 1909, and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Surviving are the widow, Helen M.,; two sons, Brian, at home, and Thomas, Grand Blanc; three daughters, Mrs. Donald Brewster, Bay City, Mrs. Donald Haske, of Midland, and Laurie, at home; six grandchildren; two brothers, Orville and Avery Knight, both of Auborn, and five sisters, Mrs. Melvin Gunther, Mrs. Arthur Fischhaber, and Mrs. Edward Brandt, all of Bay City, Mrs. Victor Engelhardt, of AuGres, and Mrs. Kenneth McLain, Leslie, Mich. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church. The Rev. James G. Goehner will be officiate, and burial will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery.
