    "III. William Hyde (6), born at Norwich, Conn., in Jan., 1670, the third son of Samuel Hyde (2) and Jane Lee, was a grandson of the first William Hyde of Norwich. He m. 2, Jan., 1695, Anne Bushnell, … eldest dau. of Richard Bushnell, Esq., and Elizabeth Adgate of Norwich. … William Hyde (6) settled at Norwich, upon the home lot ot his grandfather William Hyde the first. He was for many years one of the magistrates of Norwich, was a member of the colonial legislature, and was a man of very considerable wealth and influence. His wife d. 8 July, 1745. He survived her and died 8 Aug., 1759 at N."
