"Elisha Hyde (47), born at Norwich, Conn., 12 Sept., 1714, the sixth son of William Hyde (6) and Anne Bushnell, was a grandson of Samuel Hyde (2) the first, and Jane Lee, of Norwich. He m. 2 Sept., 1741, Lydia Tracy (596), b. 10 Dec., 1716, at Norwich, the fourth daughter or his second cousin, Mary Abel (100), and Capt. Joseph Tracy the first of Norwich. … They settled at Norwich, where he d. 4 June, 1759."
