"III. Phebe Hyde (10), born at Norwich, Conn., in January, 1663, the second daughter of Samuel Hyde (2) and Jane Lee, was a granddaughter of William Hyde the first of Norwich. She m. 21 May, 1683, Matthew Griswold, … the eldest son of Matthew Griswold and Anna Wolcott of Lyme. … Matthew Griswold and his wife, Phebe Hyde, settled at Lyme. He was a man of distinction, and one of the assistants of the colony. She d. at Lyme 29 Nov., 1704."
