This Indenture made this 8th day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty three between William Edmondson and Mira his wife, and John Rose and Jane his wife of, the County of Warren and State of Tennessee of the one part, and Andrew Edmondson junr. of the county of Washington and State of Virginia of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said William Edmondson and Mira his wife and John Rose and Jane his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the said Andrew Edmondson junr. the receipt whereof they hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Andrew Edmondson junr., and his heirs, all the right, title and interest they have and hold as heirs at law of Major John Edmondson late of the county of Washington deceased; in and to a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the said county of Washington on the south side of the south fork of Holston river, of which the said Major John Edmondson (died seized) and possessed, containing in the whole by estimation about two hundred acres, the interest of the said William Edmondson and wife, and John Rose and wife being, together, undivided interest of two elevenths part of the whole tract. To Hold the said undivided interest. in the tract of land aforesaid unto the said Andrew Edmondson junr. and his heirs to his sole use and behoof forever. And the said William Edmondson and Mira his wife, and John Rose and Jane his wife for themselves and their heirs do covenant with the said Andrew Edmondson jr. and his heirs that they, the said William Edmondson and Mira his wife and John Rose and Jane his wife and their heirs their undivided interest in the tract of land aforesaid to the said Andrew Edmondson junr. and his heirs against the claims of all persons whomever shall warrant and will forever defend...[some omitted]

This Indenture made this 8th day of January in the year of our Lord 1833, between William Edmondson of the County of Warren and State of Tennessee, of the one part and John H. Fulton of the county of Washington and State of Virginia of the other part,
Witnesseth that whereas heretofore a grant issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia to the heirs of Maj. John Edmondson dec'd late of the County of Washington and State aforesaid for three hundred acres of land situated in said county, on the south side of the south fork of Holstein river adjoining the lands of John Widener and others of which the said William Edmondson is entitled to as one of the heirs at Law of said Maj. John Edmondson is entitled to one eleventh part which eleventh part he has this day, bargained and sold to said John H. Fulton and his heirs for the sum of fifty dollars, To Have and To Hold the same to the said John H. Fulton and his heirs forever. And the said William Edmondson for himself and his heirs doth covenant with the said John H. Fulton and his heirs that he will Warrant and defend his said Interest of one Eleventh part of said land unto the said John H. Fulton and his heirs against the claims of all persons whomever.
