- Washington County, VA Deeds, Vol. 11, pg. 115
- This Indenture made this 8th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two between Margaret Edmondson of the one part and John H. Fulton of the other part;
- Witneseth, that the said Margaret Edmondson for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to her in hand paid by the said John H. Fulton, hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said John H. Fulton, all her right, title and interest in and to a certain tract of land, lying in the County of Washington, on the south side of the south fork of Holstein River adjoining the lands of John Widener and others containing three hundred acres granted by the Commonwealth of Virginia, to the heirs of the late John Buchanan dec'd, the said Margaret being a daughter and one of the heirs and grantees, and has an interest of one undivided eleventh part of the tract aforesaid. To Have and to Hold the said undivided interest in the tract aforesaid, unto the said John H. Fulton and his heirs forever. And the said Margaret Edmondson for herself and her heirs doth covenant with the said John H. Fulton and his heirs that she and her heirs will warrant and defend the title to the said undivided interest in the tract of land aforsaid to the said John H> Fulton and his heirs against the claims of all persons whomsoever.
- In Witness thereof the said Margaret Buchanan hath hereunto set her hand and affixed her seal the day and year first above written.
