    William Wall Covington, son of John Covington and Nancy Wall, known as "Uncle Billy", b. 26 Jan 1777, d. 1858. Both he and wife Polly are buried in the Zion Methodist Church cemetery, 3 miles west of Rockingham, NC. Was deeded 100 acres land on Cartledge Creek in 180 by his father.
