From the September 10, 1986, edition of the Dubuque (IA) Telegraph Herald Vincent J. Scardino Services for Vincent J. Scardino, 58, of 746 Peru Road, will be at 10 am Thursday at Holy Ghost Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 pm at Behr Funeral Home, where the parish wake service will be said at 7 pm. Mr. Scardino, who was born in Dubuque, died at 3:45 pm Monday, Sept. 8, 1986, at St. Joseph's Unit of Mercy Health Center. He worked at Flexsteel Industries Inc. before he retired in 1985. He was a member of Holy Ghost Parish and the Upholsterers, Furniture and Woodworkers Local 1861 and a former member of the Tri-State Beagle Club. Surviving are his wife, the former Shirley M. Barrett; two daughters, Mrs. Ron (Vicki) Hansen of East Dubuque, and Mrs. Craig (Janice) Hingtgen of Dubuque; three sons, Chuck A. and Ron V., both of Dubuque, and Randy J., at home; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Michael (Pauline) Maggio and Mrs. Joseph (Josephine) McInerney, both of Dubuque; and a brother, Steven "Muzzy" Loyacano of Dubuque. A son, Dean M., died Jan. 20, 1984. |
