    Funeral services for Mrs. Verna Etcher, 70, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Stackus funeral Home in Boyne City. Rev. Clifford Molnar of the Assembly of God Church will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, East Jordan.
    Mrs. Etcher died Dec. 30 at the Provencial House in Gaylord.
    The former Verna Kent was born Dec. 11, 1908 in Bellaire. She lived all her life in Northern Michigan.
    On June 26k 1928 she married Albert Joseph Etcher. He preceded her in death June 14, 1971.
    Survivors include three sons, Lyle of East Jordan, Lawrence of Lake Orion and Bruce of Dover, Del.
    One daughter, Mrs. Chester (Karen) Wellman of Alanson; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her mother, Mrs. Beaumont (IZetta) Kent of East Jordan; three brothers, Kurzin of Flint, Kenneth and Harold, both of East Jordan; two sisters, Letha Decker of East Jordan and Edna Brenneman of Petoskey.
    Friends may call at the Stackus funeral Home.
