Notes

From Familytreemaker.com:
Ulrich Pitzer immigrated to the colonies as a Palatine refuge. He arrived at the port of Philadelphia Oct. 2, 1727 via Plymouth from Rotterdam aboard the ship named Adventure Galley. His name is spelled on the passenger list as "Ulrich Pitcha". Researchers assume he came from somewhere in the Palatinate area of Germany at the age of 16 and unmarried. Ulrich lived in the Kreutz Creek area of York County, Pennsylvania in 1741 when his son Christian was baptized. Land owned by Ulrich Pitzer was surveyed on May 7, 1753 and stated "where he lives", meaning he was living there at the time. In 1776 a land grant from Lord Fairfax was issued.
Ulrich Pitzer signed his will April 17, 1769. The will was proved in Frederick County on November 6, 1770. The will named his wife Mary, and his children Anna Mary, John and Christian. Ulrich stated in his will that he had already given the land to his son John Pitzer and gave John as executor instructions not to sell the land as long as Mary lived.
