Timothy moved from Windsor to Litchfield, Conn. soon after his brother Nathaniel who was at Litchfield in 1724. After the death of his father he was said to be the most active man of the family. He was interested financially in several Connecticut towns as Harwinton, Norfolk, Torrington, Cornwall, and Litchfield. In 1711 he supplied stores to forces of the colony sent on an expedition against Canada. Hinman records that he received a legacy from Sarah Sears, widow of Windsor, who died in 1689. His will, dated Oct. 21, 1740, names wife Abigail, sons Daniel "of Hebron" and Timothy, daughters Abigail and Hannah Dibble. Timothy Horsford was Executor.

In 1739 Nathaniel, Timothy and William Horsford with ten others purchased land in Torrington, Conn. for a tannery. (S2, S3)

Thomas, b. Nov. 11, 1667, Windsor. Thomas Buckland1 was a Freeman in 1635, prob. of Dorchester; early removed to Windsor. He served in the Pequot War during 1637. His wife was Temperance Denslow, da. Nicholas1. Nicholas Denslow1 was in Dorchester in 1630; he was a Freeman in 1633 (Mar. 4), and removed about 1640 to Windsor, where he d. Mar. 1667. His wife, Elizabeth (--), d. there Aug. 13, 1669.

    Timothy Hosford3 had six children; four of whom were by his first wife, and two by his second wife.
