Child of William and Mary [___] Jeggles:
Capt. Thomas Jeggles, b. about 1621, England; living 1686. Married 27 October 1647, Abigail, daughter of Elder Samuel and Alice Sharp, of Salem, Mass, b. __ 1630, living 1686

Tingley gives Thomas' date of birth as about 1621, with no source citation. Court records for 1670, 1679, and 1682 give Thomas an estimated birth year of 1622, based on his age. One early transcription ("Early Settlers of Essex and Old Norfolk, New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Vol 6, p. 345) suggests that his age, based on Court records, was 1628, but that seems to be a mis-transcription of his age.

( Tingly is increasingly considered an unreliable source because of his lack of documentation and the discovery of a considerable number of errors in his work.)
