- JOHN DOWSE, b. 17 Sept. 1626, bp. 1 Oct. 1626; d Aug. 1676. The name of his first wife is not known. He m. (2) JANE SHELLEY, b. ca. 1637 (from age at second marriage), d. 19 March 1708/9, daughter of Henry and Martha (Heath) Shelley of Lewes, Sussex. As Mrs. Jane Dowse of Pater Noster Row, London, widow, aged about 40, she m. (2) with license dated 25 April 1677 Philip Percival. She was mentioned in the 1680 will of Thomas (A) Dowse as sister Mrs. Jane Percivall. Children.

- ANTHONY DOWSE, b. say 1635 or later. He was very likely the Anthony Dowse, son of Thomas of Eldon [Kings Sombome], Hampshire, gentleman, who was apprenticed to John Nicholas of the Ironmongers Company on 2 April 1655 at London.1171 He was mentioned in the 1680/1 will of his brother Thomas (A)
