THOMAS ANNIS was born March 17, 1785 at Corinth, VT; died December 21, 1842 at North Collins, NY; married April 2, 1806, Martha McClary {1779-1867} at Thetford, VT. Thomas resided at Vershire, VT, where his first two children were born, but later removed to, and purchased land at western New York state during the era of the Holland Purchase. Thomas was a farmer by profession and a member of the old Whig political party. He is buried at North Collins, NY.
