JOHN BROKELBANK ANNIS was born 1783 at Londonderry, New Hampshire; died July 5, 1831 at Orford, New Hampshire; married circa 1802, Nancy Pitts {1783-1850} at Groton, New Hampshire.

John removed to Berkshire, Vermont, where most of his children were born, and he was at Orford, New Hampshire in 1826. Tragically, his wife Nancy spent her last years in an institution for the insane, where she died. John was farmer, a member of the Congregational Church, and is buried with his wife at Orford cemetery, Orford.
