Initial date 3 May 1611, but signed 16 Dec. 1612. Susan Temple (her mark) of Stowe, co. Bucks, widow and late wife of John Temple Esquire, deceased, desired her body “to be buryed, as neare as it may be, unto the place, where my late husband John Temple was buried, in the parrish Church of Burton Dasset, in the County of Warwick.” She bequeathed her tenement and lands to son Sir Thomas Temple, knight, and mentioned “payinge five shillings yearly to the keepinge and repayvinge of my Father's Tombe in Everton, in the County of Northampton”. She bequeathed to her grandchild Sir Peter Temple, knight (“my belt Chaine of gold, to be bestowed on his wife, at his mariage”); daughter Temple wife of Sir Thomas Temple, knight; daughter Clarke; son John Temple and his wife; son Sir Alexander Temple; son William Temple and his wife; son Peter Temple; daughter Sanders and son-in-law Edward Sanders; daughter Risley and son-in-law Paule Risley; daughter Parker and son-in-law Sir Nicholas Parker, knight; daughter Denton and [son-in-law] Sir Thomas Denton, knight; daughter Fermer; daughter Fines, son-in-law Rt. Hon. William Lorde Say and Seale, and the Lord's eldest son James Fines; sister Peacock; cousins John, William and Thomas Wallop, Thomas Thornton, and Anne Poltney; and a number of other people. She also mentions her granddaughters Hester, Millicent, Elizabeth, and Katherine Sanders. Sole exor. son-in-law Paule Risley. Wits.
