    Topeka State Journal Thursday 30 August, 1973, pg.30:

    Mrs Stella Mae Boehmer, 78, a Topekan for 49 years, died Wednesday at a local hospital. She was born May 24, 1895 at Richland and had lived here since 1924. She was married June 16, 1925 at Kansas City, Kansas to George A. Boehmer who survives at home.

    She was a salesperson in the ready-to-wear department of the Berkson Brothers store in Topeka for 18 years. She was a member of the Overbrook United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Topeka Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.

    Other survivors include 3 sisters, Mrs. Hazel Disney, Topeka, Mrs. Bertha Desque, Overbrook, and Mrs. Nellie L. Palmer, Kansas City, Kan.; and a brother, Claude Howard, Pomona.

    Services will be Saturday in the Ted Tibbitts Mortuary with entombment in Mount Hope Abbey.
