RICHLAND PIONEER DEAD
Mrs. Mattie E. Howard had Lived There Forty-Six Years:
Mrs. Mattie E. Howard, 57, died Thursday at the home of her daughter near Richland. She is survived by the husband Nelson Howard; five daughters, Mrs. Hazel Disney and Mrs.
Stella Boehmer, of Topeka; Mrs. Bertha Desque, Mrs. Helen Jeffrey and Miss Nellie Howard, all of Richland; one son, Claude Howard of Richland; one sister, Mrs. Alice Miller; five brothers, Robert Seybold and James Seybold, of Topeka; H.L. Seybold of Richland; Bailey Seybold, McCloud, and Thomas Seybold, Junction City.
Mrs. Howard came from Indiana when 11 years old and had made her home in Richland since that time. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors.
Funeral services will be at the Richland Methodist church at 2 0'clock Sunday. Burial will be in the Richland cemetery.
