John MCFEE married Margaret SHAW 25nov1783 in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. In 1841 Margaret, presumably as a widow, lived at Rose Villa, Irvine, Ayrshire, with son Shaw, daughter Margaret (?) and John Shaw (born about 1788), probably a nephew. They had following children mostly in Kilmarnock: F I Margaret MCFIE was born 22jul1789; a Margaret McFie, born about 1794, lived at Rose Villa, Irvine, in 1841 (census). M ii Shaw MCFIE was born 3may1791; Shaw, born about 1796, lived at Rose Villa, Irvine, in 1841 (census). M iii David MCFIE was born 14jul1793. M iv James MCFIE was born 1oct1796 F v Jean MCFIE was born 15jan1801 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire. F vi Mary Anne MACFIE was born 16sep1807 in Kilmarnock. Mary Anne married John Allan RANKIN (b. 24jul1803, Irvine). They are registered in the 1841 census.
