Died in a Rocking-Chair
One of the strangest deaths which has occurred in this place, took place last Sunday afternoon about 5 o'clock. Sarah Jane Henry, whose health had been poor for some time past, died suddenly while sitting in a rocking-chair in the yard. She felt better than usual Sunday morning, attended church, came home and ate a hearty dinner. As stated before she was sitting in the backyard in the afternoon. Her two daughters had been out walking and returned home. Mrs. Henry asked one of the girls to tell Harry Liebenthal (spelled Leibenthal in the article) who was at Henry's, to come out in the yard. Mrs. Henry was eating a piece of bread and butter and was laughing and joking with Harry, when suddenly the bread fell to the ground, Mrs. Henry threw herself back in the chair and died apparently without a struggle. She was nearly forty-three years of age at the time of her death.
