On the 1880 census, age 13 , with parents in Washington Twp., Mercer Co., Mo. [ED 232, p. 152A, fam #1/1] She married "Jack" Andrew Jackson VIRDEN 18 Nov 1888 in Mercer Co., Mo. He was born 1 Dec 1857. The family group sheet reports his parents are William Thomas Virden(b. 1829, Sussex Co., Del.-d. 1896 , Mercer Co., Mo.) and Margaret N. "Peggy" King (b.1837, Marion Co., Oh.-d. 28 Mar 1922, Mercer Co., Mo.) In 1900 we see Andrew J., 42, a farmer in Harrison Twp., Mercer Co., Mo. Wife Sarah J., 33, declares they have been married 11 years and she has born 2 children, both alive at that time. [ED 113, p. 108B fam #68/60] Family record tells us that Jack, as he was called, was a stockman and an accomplished violinist. Sarah died 12 Apr 1906 in Mercer County, Mo., and was buried in Goshen Cemetery, Mercer Co., Mo. In 1910 Andrew is 52 and in his home in Harrison with his two daughters, and William Finney, husband of daughter Nellie. Andrew died 13 Oct 1924 in Mercer County, Mo, and was buried in Goshen Cemetery, Mercer Co., Mo. [Family record, submitted by grand daughter Margaret (Finney) Thomas.
