It was reported in The Convoy Signal newspaper on Friday March 18, 1921that Sara was killed when struck by an airplane at Pablo Beach, Floridawhere she was spending the winter with her husband Abraham. She wasgathering sea shells on the beach when an airplane, which was landing onthe beach, struck her in the side. The pilot, Monte Rolfe of Aususta,GA, was attempting to make a landing and apparently did not see Sarah.
