- ↑ "CONVOY - Martin Myers, 82, died at his home on the Lincoln highway,north of town, Friday evening. Death was due to complication ofdiseases. Mr. Myers has been in poor health for several years, but hasonly been bedfast one week. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoonfrom the Convoy Lutheran church, Rev. M.I. Powell, pastor. Burial inthe Odd Fellow's cemetery, north of town. Surviving besides the widoware the following children, four sons, William, John, Joseph and Albertand two daughters, Mrs. D. H. Thomas and Mrs. Ed Missler, and onesister, Mrs. Abe Mollenkopf of Van Wert."
- ↑ "Obituary - Martin Myers, son of Mr. And Mrs. Jacob Myers, was born inCrawford County, Ohio, August 30, 1838, and departed this life November19, 1920, age 82 years, two months and nineteen days. On May 12, 1868he was united in marriage to Mary A Hienle, to which union were born tenchildren, four of whom have preceded the father in death. The remainingchildren are, John, Joseph, Albert, Mrs. Anna Thomas, Mrs. HattieMissler, and William Myers. And he leaves to mourn their loss, a wife,four sons, two daughters, 17 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren,two sisters and many friends. Mr. Myers was a Private in company L,10th regiment of Ohio cavalry, and saw three years and 12 days ofservice in the civil war. He was confirmed when a boy in the GermanLutheran church in Bucyrus, Crawford county, Ohio."
