State Journal Lansing, Michigan 1 February 1915 WIFE DIES; AGED FARMER VERY ILL Mrs. Mathias Spang of Okemos Died-- Husband Serious The death of his wife from an attack of pneumonia on Sunday, and himself very seriously ill with the same disease, is the sad comination of circumstances which have visited the home of Mathias Sprang [sic; Spang]; near Okemos. Prior to moving to their present farm home, 4 years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Sprang [sic; Spang] had been residents of Lansing, and both were widely known in this city and vicinity. Mrs. Mary Sprang [sic; Spang], who died Sunday, was 64 years of age. Besides the husband, whose condition is very low, there survive four daughters, Mrs. H. Benedict [sic; Bennett] and Mrs. T. C. Wagner of Meridian, Mrs. John Colmus [sic; Colbath] of Holt, and Mrs. A. Kelly of New York, and two sons, Jacob Sprang [sic; Spang] of home, and Matthew Sprang [sic; Spang] of Denver, Colorado. Funeral services, which are to be held from St. Mary's Catholic church, will wait the arrival of the son from Colorado. |
