Samuel was a first cousin of Corrilla Henry Liebenthal, and she and her husband, Harry, appear in many family photographs. Corrilla's only son, Ben, died in 1905. Samuel and Nettie may have been good friends with Alfred Hotz and his family. There is a photograph of Samuel and Nettie with "Alf" and his family, possibly taken in the oil fields.
