This card was originally attached as a child ofFamily: John Houston and Sarah Todd (3). That couple is well known, and did indeed have a son Samuel. However, the spouses given here are incorrect for that Samuel who is known to have married Elizabeth Paxton.

May be the same Samuel Houston that married Mary Hall on 11/17/1783 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, probably a first wife (source: GRS Marriages of Southern States)
