!BIRTH-DEATH-MARRIAGE: From e-mail from George Ewing to Dean Busby 6 Aug 2000. (GEOEWING@aol.com). BIOGRAPHICAL: From "Ewing in Early America," Part I, by Margaret Ewing Fife, p. 65. He was married 10 Nov 1789 to Barbara Shipe. The minister was Rev. Elisha Phelps, Methodist, who also was the minister when Robert Ewing, Samuel's brother, married Margaret (Ewing) Carr in 1790. Samuel was on the 1830 Census in Frederick Co. with a wife. He died between 1840 and 1850
