Ruth Cottle was charged in the Greenbrier Courts with having a baseborn child March 27, 1787, the charges were dropped April 3 1789 after her marriage. A Ruth Cottle m James McCoy Dec 21, 1811, appears to be her baseborn child. (Additional research necessary).
